By accessing or using WebDecoy's bot detection services, website, APIs, SDKs, or any related software (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

WebDecoy provides bot detection and mitigation services, including but not limited to:

  • Client-side bot detection via JavaScript (Bot Scanner)
  • Honeypot link and endpoint deployment (Decoy Links, Endpoints)
  • Server-side verification APIs and SDKs
  • Threat scoring and automated response rules
  • Integration with third-party security tools and platforms
  • Dashboard analytics and reporting

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable data protection laws, including providing appropriate disclosures to your users about data collection for security purposes.

6. API and SDK Usage

If you use our APIs or SDKs, you agree to:

  • Comply with all rate limits and usage quotas associated with your plan
  • Keep your API keys confidential and not share them publicly

  • Not use the APIs to build a competing service

We may modify, deprecate, or discontinue APIs with reasonable notice. We will endeavor to provide migration paths for significant changes.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
  • Emergency maintenance or security patches
  • Factors beyond our reasonable control (force majeure events)

We are not liable for any damages resulting from Service interruptions.

8. Fees and Payment

Certain features of the Service require payment. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account

Usage-based charges (if applicable) will be calculated according to your plan and billed accordingly.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by WebDecoy and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service and improve our bot detection capabilities.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will detect all bots or that detection results will be 100% accurate. Bot detection is probabilistic in nature, and false positives or false negatives may occur.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBDECOY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WebDecoy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you submit through the Service

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the dashboard. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and WebDecoy regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
